About Lock In Chinese

Lock In Chinese is a small app with one idea: the best time to learn a word is the moment you were about to open a social app anyway.

How it works

• A word waits on your lock screen. You meet a single Chinese word every time you reach for your phone, before the scroll begins.
• A quiz breaks the seal. Open a social app and it sits behind a seal. Answer a short quiz on the words you have been learning, and the seal lifts.
• You earn your scroll. A correct answer buys a window of time. When it closes, the seal returns. A little study for a little scroll.

Underneath, it is honest spaced repetition: words move from recognition to recall on a schedule tuned to how you answer. All of it runs on your device - your progress and your Screen Time data never leave your phone. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
